Music Video

May 12, 2010

I don’t know what the guys name is but, I really liked his video. the one with the guy getting attacked by the bear, with the old bitmap gaming look you what I’m talking about. that video was not only funny but it was memorable. It left an impression on me, so much so, that I decide his would be the one that I critique. the way that the video started and transitioned and was all brought together made a nice narrative for the video. he also made changes to it that fixed mistakes and overall made the video better.

blogging About Whatever

May 12, 2010

Well we watch a lot of the videos in art 360 and none of them bothered me more that the one with Berry Schwartz. It was nothing that he said or any kind of point of view that he had. it was the way that he wore his glasses on his face. at very tip of his nose, he let tha glasses sit. I wanted to scream at him thinking that it would work that he would push them up. I thought that if i looked away and just listen to him I could ignore it, I could not. someone tell him either push them up or take them off, they are not doing you any good sitting on the end of your nose. you have wasted your money if this is how you choose to use them.

Blogging about cars

May 12, 2010

How cool is the BMW Gina, this car is awesome. I cannot imagine what you could do with a car like that one. if the framing is structurally sound enough to absorb impacts from accidents this car could change cars forever.

1. cars would be lighter making them one faster, able to save fuel and all around just cool.

2. depending on how expensive it is there would be no body damage and if there was you could just put a new skin over it yourself

3. speaking of skins you would be able to buy multiple skins and change the color of the car to whatever you feel.

4. working on them would be easier you would be able to take the skin off and get to spots that you wouldn’t on a normal car.

and did I mention that this car is just COOL, I vote yes lets put it on the market.

Flash Web Site

May 12, 2010

Nike Air has really cool flash site that allows you to be interactive with the site itself. by using your keyboard you are able to control different obstacles that a virtual character will interact with. Each letter key will do something different with effects that are happening it is pretty cool I don’t even by Nike products and I enjoyed playing with the site. I did really like one feature though, for certain shoes that they are advertising on the site you are able to check out the shoe with a 3-D spin around the product, by clicking on the shoe, the shoe will spin to a different angle so you can see what it looks like on all side.

Very cool, Check it out!

Remote Control

April 7, 2010

as i scanned the room to describe an object for this blog my eyes concentrated on one thing and one thing only, the tv remote. this is on of the most awesome remotes that has ever been designed. it not only controls every piece of electronics that i own but is awesome looking as well. this remote is hot to the touch it is sleek. like a stealth bomber this remote flies under the radar when it fits in your hand like it is custom-made like the handle of a light saber it glows with the brightness of one thousand points of light and calls out when it is lonely for attention to be used and caressed. the stainless polished silver and brushed buttons give it speed as if it could surf the channels in record time to find the one channel that it knows you like. if i could take this controller and claim it as my own piece of art work i would. i would take it put it in a glass case so that no one could touch it but me.

FREE

March 30, 2010

Kevin Kelly asks what could be better than free, The answer to that is, nothing is free or with out some sort of consequences. For example when I first started this blog I / we are told as a class that it is free. while that may be true that it is free to sign up for this blogging thing , it is not free of our time that it takes to read the articles that we are supposed to read and post about. in doing these blogs we are sacrificing something else that we would rather be doing with our time therefore this blog is not free.

Another example of things not being free is that of the band radiohead who decided to let their fans pay what they wished to pay for their newest album, the average was $5. somewhere along the line someone wanted to pay $1 for that album and someone wanted to pay $20 for that same album but the person who wished to pay only $1 see’s that other are paying more and now all of the sudden feels guilty about only paying $1 and decides to pay more because their conscious won’t let them pay what they want. so there $5 purchase is actually costing them more because of the mental torture that they are put through for nothing mor than a simple purchase.

Benjamin’s Concern

March 22, 2010

Well what happens is just what Benjamin says, art loses its luster if it is able to mass-produced and owned by everyone and anyone.

That is why original artworks are so expensive, anyone can own a knock off, of any piece of art. In fact I own three knock offs, they were not expensive you can tell that they are knock offs and yet I still love them because the are some of my favorite artists. will I ever own an original? Doubt it but at least I have something that I like.

In fact that is what happens to art when it is no longer sacred to the people who love art, it become something that people just have and look at as wow that will go great in my bathroom, and I will also have something that I like. the value of art is no longer cherished by as many people. The people who once loved art in a way that others could not, start to forget about its meaning and thought processes that it took to create such a spectacular work.

When you can walk down any city street and see classic works of art being used as advertisements and noticing the graffiti filled wall that the advertisement is hung on because the graffiti is more original than the classic art once was.
